  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons  olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of  black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • BBQ sauce
  • Salt
  • Smart grill or regular electric grill

 How to Make it?

All you’re gonna need is bone-in chicken with the skin, barbecue sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. You’ll also need an electric grill, casserole dish, basting brush tongs which are optional, and a sharp knife.

 You know that thing when you throw a raw chicken on a grill, it tends to burn on the outside before cooking all the way through.  So by baking it first and then just finishing it off on the grill we fix that problem.

 Start by transferring our chicken to our casserole dish. You can use any cut of chicken that you want. Wings, legs, or breasts. Today we will make breasts.

Cut it right in half and then we will transfer this skin side down into our casserole dish and season it up with salt. A little more than you might think. Add some pepper, garlic powder, and some onion powder. Top it off with some olive oil. Flip the chicken with the fork and hit the other side. You really can use too much of the spices it gives you a great flavor to the chicken and then just turn the chicken its skin side up. Pop this in a 400-degree oven for about 30 minutes or until the juices start to run clear.

This chicken is good enough to eat, but going to make it even tastier. Back on the grill over medium heat and hope you know how to use the electric grill. Just throw the chicken on the grill and let it sizzle a little bit because you cooked it already and it’s not smoke up as if you’re throwing raw chicken on a grill.  Let it cook for just about a minute, give it a flip over. Then you see grill marks that start to appear on your chicken and you can begin basting it with the barbecue sauce. You can use honey Chipotle barbecue sauce. Turn the chicken over and get some great grill marks on the other side too. Base this side of the chicken with the barbecue sauce. Just keep turning and basting, turning and basting. Do it about two or three times.

And then chicken ready to plate it up!

 How to clean an electric grill?

 Here’s how to do it in a few easy steps.

Step 1:  Unplug your grill and let the plates cool down before wiping off the grease towards the drip tray

Step 2: Let hot soapy water soak on burnt grime. Use a soft sponge to remove spots and be careful not to scratch the nonstick surface

Step 3: Dampen a rag and wipe down the plates. Scrub down tough areas to get it completely clean

Step 4: Make sure to remove any moisture from the grill. Letting your plates air dry runs the risk of rust accumulating there.
